I just got a call from Barbara Richards and she told me that John (Ada's oldest son) died last Friday evening. He had had prostate cancer that went to his bones and he had heart trouble, so it wasn't a surprise. I thought those of you who had genealogy data would want to know. They will have a memorial service Saturday in Stevenson at the Eagles Hall, but I don't think I will try to go. I don't have the energy still.

Mabel had suffered with epilepsy since she was 3 years old. She took some medication for it, but because of the cost and because she had to send to Chicago to get the medicine, she some times ran out and didn't take it until she could get more. I think this is what happened just before she died. She also had some trouble learning, which seemed to be related to the epilepsy. We don't know what caused the epilepsy. | Skaar, Mabel Christine (I2859)
